eBike technology explained

Hey everyone!

Just got my first eBike last month – a RadRover 6 Plus – and I'm absolutely loving the extra boost on my daily commute, especially up those hilly sections. It's got me thinking a lot about the tech behind it all. I know about motors and batteries, but what are some of the less obvious but really cool technological advancements in eBikes that you guys find most interesting or impactful? I'm curious about things like torque sensors vs. cadence, or even the different display functionalities. What tech really stands out to you?

Hey there! Congrats on the RadRover 6 Plus, those are solid bikes, especially for hills! You hit on a great point with torque vs. cadence sensors. For me, the biggest game-changer is definitely torque sensing – it makes the assist feel so much more natural and intuitive, almost like an extension of your own power, compared to the on/off feel of a cadence sensor. Another cool advancement I appreciate are the smart displays that integrate navigation or even offer diagnostic feedback, making the ride experience much smoother. Enjoy those boosted commutes!
