Tips for winter commuting

With the days getting shorter and the temperatures dropping, I'm already starting to think about winter commuting on my eBike. I ride a Specialized Vado SL 4.0 about 10 miles each way, mostly on paved paths and some city streets, and last winter was a bit of a learning curve, especially with the cold and occasional slush. What are your absolute must-have tips for staying safe, warm, and keeping your eBike happy during the colder months? I'm particularly interested in tire recommendations and battery care in the cold!
