Legal regulations for eBikes

Been thinking a lot lately about the legal side of eBikes, especially with more and more of us out on the roads and trails. I've got a Class 2 fat tire eBike that I mostly use for commuting on bike paths and some light off-road trails, and I'm always trying to make sure I'm riding within the rules. It seems like regulations can vary so much not just by state, but even by city or specific park systems.

What are your experiences navigating the legal landscape for your eBike? Have any of you run into issues or confusion regarding where you can ride, speed limits, or even modifications you've made? I'm curious if anyone has tips for easily finding local regulations or if there are any common pitfalls to avoid.
