New to eBikes - where to start?

Hey everyone!

I've been lurking for a bit and finally decided to jump in. I'm totally new to the eBike world and feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the options out there. I'm looking to get an eBike primarily for commuting about 10 miles each way, mostly on paved roads with some gentle hills, and maybe some weekend leisure rides. What are the absolute must-knows or first steps for a complete newbie like me? Any advice on where to even begin looking would be awesome!
